Monday 19 September is a bank holiday to mark the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

GP practices will be closed for the day. For urgent health needs, contact NHS111 online www.111.nhs.uk or call 111.

In advance of the bank holiday, you are encouraged to restock your medicine cabinet with over-the-counter treatments, and ensure any repeat prescriptions are ordered in good time. You can order your medication using the NHS App, or through your GP practice, which may also have an online service.

Some local pharmacies may have different opening hours during the bank holiday. Search “find a pharmacy NHS” to find an open pharmacy near you.

If you require urgent dental treatment this bank holiday, you should contact your regular dentist. If you cannot contact your dentist or don’t have one, please call: 0333 332 3800.

If you have booked a Covid autumn booster vaccination for Monday 19th September, you will receive a text reminder message 48 hrs before the appointment. If sites have cancelled appointments for that day, you will receive a cancellation and be given the opportunity to re-book a new appointment. If your chosen site is still operating on the 19th, you will be given the option of rescheduling if you would prefer not to attend.
